NYM50™ is the brainchild of veteran media professional and 1988 U.S. Olympian, Leslie Maxie.

NYM50 is a movement designed for MidLove Sisters, women Midlife and LOVING it. They support one another with empowering information, networking, encouragement, compassion, and a revolution built for their ever-evolving needs. Collectively and individually, they are maximizing this incredible phase.

Leslie created this community in response to her and her friends' shared need for conversations and support around change and transition.

For her 50th birthday, she brought 23 of her favorite MidLove Sisters to Las Vegas for a first of its kind, "Party with a Purpose." The party was seeing J-Lo in residency. The purpose was to launch the Not Your Mamas 50 movement!

This event concluded with the creation of a private Facebook group “safe space” and a 50-day challenge for the women to support each other in designing their lives 2.0. NYM50 originated the creation of a "one-stop" shop community, celebrating all things MidLove Sister's 50+!

Meet Our Founder

Leslie Maxie began her media career as a reporter.

Over the years, interviewing some of the biggest names in entertainment and sports, including Jesse Owens, Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Serena Williams, Barry Bonds, and Mike Tyson. She did this while being the 1st professional athlete to cover the world's premier entertainment and sporting events outside her primary sport of Track & Field.

Over the last decade, Maxie has executed a strategic move from broadcaster to Media Maven as Principal/Founder of Maxie Media Group (MMG). MMG has quietly lent its expertise to shape the narrative of and provide media training and crisis communications to several influential clients, including: Viacom Networks, the 2014 Super Bowl Planning Committee representing the NFL's Commissioner's Office, Toyota Motor Corp, Red Bull GmbH and Red Bull Racing Formula 1, NASCAR, the NY Jets, Major League Baseball executives, Miss New Jersey Pageant, and several Fortune 100© executives.

Since then, she has developed the elements that made her a successful international keynote speaker into the Speaker in YOU™; a curriculum designed to amplify and elevate the speaking skills of athletes, executives, activists, and influencers worldwide.
